History of Cameras

I remembered buying my first digital camera from Fujifim at the IT show. a 2-megapixels camera with 3X optical zoom. Well, it stuck with me for around 2 years before I passed down to my dad. Thereafter, I bought Olympus FE190, upgrading myself with a higher pixel camera, but still the same optical zoom. Due to an accident, in less than a year, I bought myself my 3rd camera, Olympus FE240, an enhanced version of the Olympus FE series in mid-2007. Well, it comes with higher megapixel and a 5X optical zoom. Shouldn't it be great?

However, in end-2009, I have upgraded myself again. This time round, a Canon Powershot SX200IS. 12X Optical Zoom is the "thing" that attracted me. In addition, I have asked a lot of people. Everyone agreed how wonderful Canon is. (P.s I don't think the camera performs well for videos) My sup told me that Powershot series is very reliable...I think even better than IXUS series.

Well, I tested the camera in the recent Seoul'D Out Festival held at Fort Canning Park on 12 Dec 2009. Taking into account that I was more than 10 rows away from the stage, the photos turned out to be pretty decent and high-quality (see below). I think this camera is gonna stuck with me for at least next 3 years!!

The atmosphere at the concert was great. I am not a fanatic like teens who "chase" after idols to hotels or on taxis. But, I enjoy "live" music with good visuals and vocals. Because I have heard the songs before on TV and Internet, it makes me even look forward to "live" performances and appreciate the songs more.

For me, the highlight of the festival was Brown Eyed Girls. A mature girl group which I first seen their TV performance on "L.O.V.E" and "How" in 2008. Subsequently, not much news about them until recent release of "Abracadabra" and "Signs" in 2009. As you can see from these four songs, their music, costumes and dance steps are very innovative and great effort was put into choreography and music composing. I hoped that they will continue to succeed in their music career.

Well, another girl group, Jewelry, which has a similar concept as theirs, has recently undergone a major restructure due to leaving of senior & more popular Jewelry members, Seo In-Young and Park Jung Ah. So, it is quite skeptical whether Jewelry will continue to hold a good standing in the K-Music Chart in the future. Let's just wait and see. (P.s. I am glad I have obtained all the 4 members' signatures when they are here for K-POP Night in 2008. It will be a nice memento for me.)

Yesterday, just went to collect my tix at Sistic for the Seoul'D Out Festival. Time flies and the event is coming soon. Hope to watch some nice Kpop live performances and enjoy Korean street-food that day. Most importantly, PLEASE don't rain on that day, as that was what happened for the past few days....rain and flood ;(

Not long ago, Kang Ji Hwan and Kim Ha Neul visited Singapore to promote their movie "My Girlfriend is An Agent". It was a action-comedy movie ( i did went to watch the movie at the cinema). A movie genre I always liked.

Made a last minute decision to go straight to Hereen to see them after work after I saw the newspaper advertisement about them appearing at Hereen that evening. Using a Nokia E63 at this point of time is a bad timing. With no camera and just a 2-megapixel handphone camera armed in hand, I have to use it to take snapshots of their 15 minute appearance on stage. Poor quality but yet it was a rare opportunity to see them at so near distance. This is much better than squeezing myself at Plaza Singapura to catch a glimpse of Lee Min-ho (who eventually didn't even turn up due to security reasons).

I was watching so many dramas recently that my HDD recorder runs out of space..opps..needs to back-up abit.

Over the weekend, I watched The Iron Empress (Kor) during air-time so that I do not need to record it. During weekdays, I will watch the 8pm and 9pm HK dramas so that I will not end up watching the repeats on weekends. East of Eden(Kor) is another new drama I am watching on Sat nights. Well for Sun, I wanted to watch Painter of the Wind(Kor) but I think I cannot tahan till 1am since I need to work the next day. So, I decided to give up that.

To release my HDD recorder space, I started to backup my own copy of Boys Over Flowers. In addition, I am completing another drama on my HDD - "The Man who Can't Marry", 5 more episodes to go. After this drama, have to watch "The Partner" and "Lady Castle". These dramas have to be watched and deleted to clean up my HDD space.

So more TV time needed for me!!!
